Amara's wonderful woolies....
Never in a MILLION years would we have expected to have Jersey Woolys and certainly didn't plan to...We actually ended up with them as a complete fluke...Larry had a trip to Georgia and stopped by to see our good friend Deidre Edder, while he was there he asked her to put together a trio of JW's for a 4H family in our project who had asked us to help them find a good start. So home he came with a tort buck, a REW doe and an orange doe...well by the time he got home with them this family decided to wait a little while before starting this breed (and ended up with holland lops)...in the meantime we had already paid for these rabbits, so needed to find space until we could try to move them...they were here about 3 days and Amara fell head over heels! Guess they were going to be here to stay. Since then she's convinced us to let her add a few more, and now she has some babies of her own...Those of you in the D3 will surely see her "just looking" at the JW's for sale at the shows and then trying to convince Daddy she needs a new one because she doesn't "have that color yet".
UPDATE - Currently trying to downsize this project. All most her entire herd is for sale at this time.
