D'n'A Bunnies

Devin's boys...

Before we can show you any of the boys who've made the holland lops from D'n'A Bunnies what they are, we must first speak of Schwandt's Hot Rod.  He is the holland responsible for Devin's renewed interest in holland lops.  He was never meant to be a great show bunny, and he wasn't, but it was his broken chocolate color that Devin was after, and his babies have been some of the best Devin's had.  As it turns out, Hot Rod had the absolute sweetest personality of any rabbit we've ever encountered, and he quickly became more than a herd buck, but Devin's friend.  The spring of 2007 we were faced with the decision to put Hot Rod down due to an injury while breeding, he just never pulled out of it.  It was then that we came to realize just how much Devin and the rest of our family really loved that bunny.....something we never ever dreamed would happen, after all they're just rabbits, right?   As our daughter Amara says....Hot Rod is with Jesus now, with lots of room to hop, more hay than he could ever hope to eat, and plenty of angels to give him all the scratches he could ever want.     Thanks Hot Rod for being part of our lives, we miss you.
